Once the player throws one at him (which he will most likely foolishly jump into), he may crush the second one. His clown-themed flying vehicle are also gained the angry-look face, the player must wait for Bowser to stop to throw two Mecha-Koopas out. Upon Bowser's final stage, he will bounce around wildly trying to crush Mario underneath. Once this has been accomplished, he will fly off and drop ten more fireballs, and once again the Princess will wiggle free to throw a Super Mushroom. Because Bowser is flying so high, the player must jump, then throw the Mecha-Koopa up to hit him in the head twice. After two of those balls have dropped, Bowser will throw two Mecha-Koopas out again. Every once in a while Bowser will flip upside down and drop a giant iron ball that will roll toward Mario, which can be avoided by either spin jump or jumping over it. In his second stage, Bowser will fly in an almost straight line at the top of the screen, staying as close to Mario as possible. After a bit, Bowser will come back, and Princess Peach will wiggle free for long enough to throw a Super Mushroom to the player before battle resumes. After he is gone, ten fireballs will fall out of the sky. ![]() Once Bowser has been hit twice, he will fly off into the distance, but that does not mean that the player has won. The player must then stomp them and throw them upwards at the right time so they will hit him in the head. To defeat him, the player must wait until he throws out two Mecha-Koopas. In Bowser's first stage of attack, he will simply fly around in a wide U shape. The main and biggest issue is that the hack needs more original levels and no simplified edits.Interestingly, in the game's final battle, Bowser flies around in a clown-themed flying vehicle, throwing Mecha-Koopas and Big Steelies at Mario instead of fighting his old foe face to face by breathing fire at him ( mikeyk made a custom Bowser sprite which follows his classic attack pattern, however). Overall with how similar the hack is to the original SMW it'll need a lot of work done to it before resubmitting. Also don't remake levels from other Mario Games either. ![]() The edits are not good as they often make rooms easier and flatter and in many instances emptier by removing key elements and hazards.Īlways start fresh when making levels for projects you wish to submit to the site. While some levels are actually quite different to what is found within SMW the sheer amount that are simplified edits are why the hack has been rejected. "I started everything from scratch" I can't believe that is all in the slightest bit true sadly. It's only natural but when the hacks description says: I understand taking some inspiration from SMW. It's like playing a remixed version that isn't as fun as like I'll go into shortly many aspects from levels get removed rather than added in. You can use the same sprites and such but the layouts have clearly just been altered slightly and not properly edited. Other examples are the Bowser Rooms which are all mainly edits of the past rooms. Whilst there are actually a handful of levels that are distinct enough to be classed as new there are about 90% in which they are just simplified edits of original levels and sublevels. ![]() I got to the end of World 2 and decided to just check how many levels were edited from the originals. There are only a handful of levels that are actually original and new. They are not fun to play through like this.īack onto Level Design. That said the main issue is remaking the levels themselves rather than something original. I'd say a compromise would of been having a midway near 1-2 or 1-3. The challenge found within these iterations are the fact that only the first level out of four has a midway point which if you die say in 1-4 your going all the way back to 1-1. They are not fun due to how different SMW handles compared to SMB1 so these levels are often really easy and straight forward. These have been done to death over the many years people have been hacking SMW. Mostly which revolve around the Level Design found within the hack. I'll have the reject the hack for a few reasons. Hack feita por mim com fases de smb a cada primeira fase de cada mundo, exceto o mundo estrela e o especial com vários níves da hack não plageadas das fases de smw, eu comecei tudo do zero. ![]()
